THE GUT GODDESS APPROACH

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE GUT! HEAL YOUR GUT, HEAL YOUR BODY!

How It Works

During the intake, we’ll review your past medical history and any previous lab tests, so we can assess symptoms or anything your doctor might have missed. Next, we’ll determine the need for additional lab tests to help pinpoint the real reasons for your digestive drama and to understand your current hormone and stress levels.

Then, we’ll determine the right nutrition plan for you and give you everything you need to be successful.

After that, we’ll prioritize our treatment approach for immediate symptom relief – utilizing a variety of healing protocols, and supplements. During this process, we also will adjust your treatment schedule based on sensitivity and how receptive you are to treatments.

The next three steps focus on restoring and optimizing gut function, starting with pathogens & stealth infections that are often at the root of gut dysbiosis.

Next, we focus on repairing the gut lining to reestablish intestinal integrity so we can lower inflammation and undo the damage caused by things like a leaky gut.

The last step in the Gut Reset phase is dedicated to replenishing the microbiome to properly digest food, and improve nutrient absorption as well as neurotransmitter production important for a balanced mood.

Once we make headway with rebooting your gut health, we’ll turn our attention to rebalancing your nervous system, hormones, and cellular health.

Specifically, we’ll strengthen the parasympathetic tone to help you shift from “flight or flight” to “rest and digest” mode – while dialing down inflammatory signals and enhancing mood and focus.

In the hormone rebalancing step, we provide thyroid and adrenal support to restore energy and improve metabolism. We also cover blood sugar balance and address possible insulin resistance that can keep you from losing weight and feeling energized.

The final step of our Gut Health Roadmap focuses on detox and cellular balance – helping you reduce your body’s toxic burden, avoid toxins in the first place, and replenish your cellular machinery for an energized life.

“Pamela is a wise and compassionate practitioner, who encouraged me every step of the way. She sought out the reason for my obesity instead of just assuming that I consumed too much “junk food.”

Happy Patient, Melanie M.

“Pamela, you are great at what you do! I lost nine pounds in about a month period. Now I’m at my optimal weight and ready to ride. You’re worth every cent. I could have spent more money on diet books and still not had a clue. You took all the guesswork out of it.”

Happy Patient, George A.

Are supplements and labs included in the program?

Supplements and lab testing will be additional costs. The supplement protocols are personalized for your individual need and based on your lab test results and there is no way for us to know beforehand what you will need for your protocol. And, many of our patients continue with some core maintenance supplements on an ongoing basis.

Lab testing it’s not included because some people do not need to retest and others only need to retest certain markers. This actually saves you money.

What does the program cost?

We offer personalized care and protocols so you pay for just what you need, and nothing that you don’t. Your first appointment is a comprehensive wellness evaluation and the cost is $350. Follow-up appointments are $189. If it is determined that it is a good fit for you, we have treatment packages Available. These include a group of prepaid appointments at a discount, a 10% discount on supplements, additional support from your practitioner and staff.

Conventional insurance-based medicine is built around the concept of labeling you with a reimbursable diagnostic code (diagnosis) and then finding the medications or a procedure to match.

Why are Functional Medicine practices and testing not covered by insurance?

A functional medicine model of care works to address the root cause of imbalances/disease (DIS-EASE), considering the connection of all the various body systems, as well as the mind, lifestyle, and diet. The core of functional medicine is finding the what and the why, therefore simply operating in a diagnosis to medication model doesn’t fit with insurance-based practices.

In addition, if your practitioner is spending enough time with you (both in-person and afterward researching your unique case) to get to the root of your issue, using advanced testing that takes more time and knowledge to interpret, and then personalizing your treatment plan to include natural therapies and a customized diet plan, then it’s not covered by insurance.

This can be a good thing because this offers advanced testing and personalized care.

Yes, functional lab testing is an investment, but not an expense. Working to transform your lifestyle and health will continue to reward you over your lifetime and give you back more time and energy (and often money) in the long run.
